About

What this is

This wiki is a free, independent reference for Way of the Hunter 2, an open-world hunting simulation developed by Nine Rocks Games and published by THQ Nordic for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. It collects beginner guides, maps, animal and weapon references, herd management notes, mission walkthroughs, and update coverage in one place, so you don't have to dig through forum threads and patch notes mid-hunt.

How pages are sourced

Strategy notes come from playing the game and from community reports. Where a claim comes from official channels — patch notes, the official website, the official Discord, or the official YouTube channel — we say so on the page. Animal rosters and reserve details list what is confirmed for the current version; unconfirmed content is not listed. When patch notes are Discord-only, pages mark what's verified in-game versus still unverified.

How it's maintained

Stats, reserve details, and weapon lists are re-checked against official patch notes around every update, and outdated details are corrected rather than left up. Guides are revisited after major patches — when the game changes, the guides change with it.
